About
My name is James Geddes; I have passion for Tractions that has been with me for 30 years.
After attending engineering college, I worked in the Garage Industry for 39 years, first for our family business and then for a Fast Fit Centre as a Fitter, MOT Tester, Supervisor and Manager.
I bought my first Traction in 2009, and whilst I enjoyed driving it, I was far more interested in taking it apart, seeing how it worked and fixing the parts that others said couldn’t be fixed. I visited John Gillard during a trip to London and the rest is history. Building on my interest I asked John if I could work with him on a voluntary basis and I used my leave from work to do this. I realised that working on tractions what I really wanted to do and reducing my employed hours to part time I started to work for John on a part time basis.
I continued to work with John and over the years, and have built up a vast amount of knowledge and have tackled some challenging projects for him. During Traction rally’s both home and abroad I have fixed cars on the side of the road and in fields, using my initiative and at times great imagination to get cars mobile again.
Over a year ago I opened my own business based in Northumberland, repairing Tractions from all over the Country.

are usually hidden from view.
Why Traction Repairs?
I am a practical problem solver and no job is too big, but I will always be honest and advise if a project is not feasible.
As each job is unique I like to work on one car at a time, this ensures that it gets my undivided attention, and I can concentrate on the fine detail. This I feel is my trade mark.
I have maintained my MOT status and each job is carried out to this standard and above.
Each element of a project is photographed so that customers can see the detail of the repairs or restoration before the car is put back together. I feel that this is very important aspect of the work I do.
I am situated a short distance from Morpeth Railway Station which is on the London to Scotland East Coast line.
